Our client, who operated several businesses in a highly regulated sector, was approached by one of the major companies in that sector with an offer to purchase the business.
We worked with our client to provide a realistic valuation of the business which allowed him to assess the offer being made.
We then helped to prepare due diligence information for the purchaser, including the calculation of the results used as a basis for the price, and we also took a lead role in negotiations on our client’s behalf.
Once the contract was agreed, we assisted our client in agreeing a valuation of the assets and liabilities being transferred.
