Application/Service Desk Support (London)

JOB TITLE:  Application/Service Desk Support  

REPORTING TO:  IT Manager

This is an integral role in our established IT team. The successful applicant will be providing support to our end user community both on-site and remotely. There is a strong focus on applications however you will be assisting the IT team with the wider infrastructure of Information technology across the business.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First point of contact for IT related issues
  • Key support contact for the business application suite
  • Responsible for the companies document management system
  • Managing support issues with applications through its entirety;
  • Escalating and liaising with 3rd parties when required
  • Responsible for the administration of our application suite
  • Ensuring integrity for database’s relating to our application suite
  • Review and amend information added to the system, where user error is apparent re-train the users on the accurate recording of data
  • Follow best practice and educate users with respect of the same
  • Building on and developing the end user application process
  • Produce supporting articles and training manuals for application processes
  • Define and implement end-user processes for accounting systems such as CCH, Sage & CaseWare
  • Track and review end user processes for accounting systems (CCH / Caseware / SAGE)
  • Collaborating with IT manager and IT assistant on wider projects

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience supporting business applications end to end
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take ownership of software related issues
  • Good understanding of MS office suite including 360
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  • Desire and drive to expand your technical skill set
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience supporting in a Windows environment

 

Desirable

  • Familiar with Microsoft database administration
  • Understanding of professional services environment
  • Willingness to learn and progress with new systems
  • Working knowledge of CCH and Caseware
