Corporate Tax Consultant (London)

JOB TITLE:  Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

REPORTING TO:  Director of Tax

 

Based in our West End London office and reporting to our Corporate Tax Director, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual, with proven tax compliance experience to develop their advisory skills.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLTIES

  • Manage a portfolio of up to 200 clients, mainly OMBs including listed companies and international groups – largest turnover £250m
  • Supervise a junior
  • Review tax computations prepared by our audit department
  • Manage client relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Identify ways to maximise the client relationship and deliver added value
  • Deal with HMRC enquiries and escalate where necessary
  • Identify tax planning opportunities
  • Carry out technical research
  • Manage WIP and raise bills
  • Provide tax training to our Audit personnel

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate tax compliance
  • Strong technical tax compliance knowledge
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with all stakeholders
  • Evidence of reviewing corporation tax returns and complex problem solving
  • Confident decision maker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing tax notes for accounts

 

Desirable

  • ACA qualified
  • Alaphatax experience
