We came, we rolled, we conquered – Simmons Gainsford team winner in the HAT bowling tournament

For a more detailed match report….

The SG1 team started off promisingly with a good number of strikes and spares in the first 3 ends. In the middle part of the game the team pushed a little bit too hard to get the pins to fall and as a result accuracy suffered and the score didn’t progress as would have been liked. There was added pressure on the team as the previous year’s winners had posted a score but cleared their screen so SG didn’t know what they had to chase down, the rivals also decided to sit behind SG’s lane and cheer our bad breaks and boo our successes. However despite the bad breaks and a ridiculous amount of sticky pins the team rallied in the 9th and 10th end and in the end romped home with a score of 660 beating the team in 2ndplace by 60 points.

Well done SG1 Team!
