James Duggan on the panel of this year’s Young Business Minds

James Duggan was one of the three judges on the panel of this year’s Young Business Minds, an exciting competition to provide Year 12 students from schools across Sussex and Kent with an insight into the business world.

The competition gives students practical experience of:

• Developing  a business proposition

• Considering and managing the range of requirements needed to start and run a successful business

• Acting in an economically responsible manner

• Learning to meet deadlines and the importance of attention to detail

• Presenting to leading local business people in a ‘pitch’ scenario and improving confidence and presentation skills.

This year’s winner was ‘Character Chaos’ from Ringer Community College.

Simmons Gainsford sponsored the prize for the runners up team, which this year was a joint win; ‘Flo’ from Tonbridge School and ‘Oh So Smoothie’ from Heathfield College.
