Our client, an owner-managed print and IT business, was seeking equity and debt finance to support an MBO. An Investment Memorandum had been written and funders were interested, but they now required a financial model so they could delve into the real detail of the project.
To build a financial model that would satisfy funders. This needed to roll from historic to forecast data and be in an integrated Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow format. The level of detail needed to be significant to reflect the nature of the company’s contracts, so funders could drill down and sensitise.
Working to an extremely tight deadline, Delphine liaised closely with management to quickly get to grips with the way the business operated, its intricate contracts and likely trading scenarios moving forward. She built a robust, integrated financial model that was credible and easily audited. The model included forecast assumptions the funders could then flex to assess risk and reward.
The financial model included all that was necessary to allow funders to swiftly complete their due diligence process and gain confidence in the transaction. Equity and debt providers were keen to support and our client raised over £20M.
