The size and ethos of Simmons Gainsford means we have a natural empathy with entrepreneurs, start-ups and growing businesses. Our client base is diverse and includes media, entertainment, retail, property, hospitality, manufacturing and recruitment as well as regulated sectors such as solicitors, charities and financial services. Our remit is to solve problems and create solutions so the compliance work – such as audits and tax returns – is complemented by creative business and strategic planning.
Our partners are approachable, incredibly supportive and dedicated to providing a career path for all staff.
We offer CPD training throughout the year: it’s important that our clients receive the most up to date and relevant advice, and it’s just as important to us that our staff are continuously learning so they are empowered by their knowledge. With regular team briefings, there is always the opportunity for individuals to suggest any ad hoc courses.
With 11 Partners, we have grown steadily but not to an extent that we don’t know one another. We’re not going to deny it’s a demanding environment and, whilst we don’t have a late hours’ culture, there are occasions when we have to work a little bit longer to finish a job but we enjoy what we do, we love being challenged and we are always striving to improve.
We are a sociable bunch: as well as our Firm-wide Summer and Christmas events, we recently established a social committee to think of even more innovative ways to have fun. And we’re pretty competitive too. Have a look at our blog ‘A day in the life’ of to see what else we get up to, and to get to know some of our staff a bit better.
We always try to keep everyone updated with regular team briefings, quarterly staff meetings and our monthly newsletter is great for sharing knowledge!
Our London office is walking distance of Oxford and Regent Street so we’re spoilt for shops and places to eat. If you fancy eating al fresco, you can relax in the historic Cavendish Square.
